OEM M4 Sling Mount |

After installing the OEM M4 Sling Mount, the castle wrench will not tighten the castle nut enough for a tight secure fit. The OEM M4 Sling Mount pushbutton mounting pionts impede the castle wrench from tightening the castle nut. A mallet, a punch and a piece of cloth was used to tap the castle nut into a tight secure fit.

I purchased 2 of the oem M4 sling mounts and though I'm pleased with the single point sling mount solution they provide, I must say I was disappointed that no provision was made for the use of existing M4 castle wrenches for tightening. I'm struggling to find a way of tightening without marring.

Installed correctly and this mount makes a perfect addition to my M4 w/ the One Point Battle Sling. I wish TROY made products for my Remington Tactical. If I own it and they make an accessory for it; I install it. As for the other review, my wrench worked just fine.
I can't give it 5 Stars because it hasn't been battle tested by me yet. Great Product TROY

OEM M4 - one washer short of a great product |

I purchased the OEM M4 swival for my M4 rifle. The installation was straight foward and the finish and fit was perfect. When you go to tighten the castle nut on the tube, the adapter pushbutton mounting points prevent the stock wrench from maintaining contact with the nut. The sling adapter should be thicker to allow clearance for the castle nut, or a washer offered to place between the nut and adapter. I cannot get the nut tight enough in the present configuration.
